Purpose of Role:
This role will have the primary responsibility of timely planning, implementation, management, monitoring & control of all finance and accounting related activities of the Company. This includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for core management accounting, cost accounting, financial accounting & reporting, ensuring balance sheet integrity, financial & management information systems, credit control, overall control environment and procedures, property and asset management, and playing key facilitative role in forecasting & strategic planning
Responsibilities:
Promote a ‘business partnering’ culture within Saudi business, with finance embedded as a key part of the local management team. Contribute towards establishment of a culture of shared responsibility across all departments of the Company, of common business goals, such as Input, Output, costs, expenses, profitability, working capital, EHS responsibility etc.
Liaise closely in all financial matters with the designated focal point in Weir Oil & Gas Division and the Services/Regional Finance Director and Olayan Group Finance team & VP.
Liaise with GM, Region & HO(s), ensure timely planning, preparation, review, discussion, submission of reliable periodic forecasts and budgets (yearly budgets, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual forecasts etc.)
Work with Operations and Sales Teams to develop detailed bottom-up annual budget and forecasting processes and periodic queries.
Assist GM in Business Modeling, Simulation, Scenario Analysis and Sensitivity, to support strategic decision making.
Participation in preparation and submission of Short/Long Term strategic plans, Business Plans and new business development initiatives,in liaison with GM and other depts.
Assist GM in preparation of insightful board meeting papers and presentation & elaboration thereof. Attend and contribute in Board Meetings and other strategic meetings.
In liaison with group support teams and HR teams, ensure maintenance of appropriate insurance coverage (corporate insurance for Company assets, and medical insurance for employees).
Keep management informed of significant departures from operating budgets, either actual or estimated or any other key relevant information, risks and issues.
Development and management of a strong finance & accounting function. Monitor and devise training, development, and succession planning of department/function employees (in liaison with HR department and regional/group teams).
Attend, mentor, lead and/or participate in management meetings such as Sales, Receivables, WIP review, Production, EHS and Accountability meetings.
Comply with Code of Conduct rules and as a key management team member be familiar with its content to support any employee questions.
Review, challenge and approve new orders, quotations, bids and contracts with a keen focus on value addition, commerciality, profitability, risk management, while complying with regulations, policies, and decision matrix.
Ensure compliance with GAAP around revenue recognition (in line with Company policies). Ensure accurate and timely booking and transparent reporting of revenues, costs & expenses.
Ensure timely issuing of invoices for all activities, in accordance with contractual requirements.
Requirements:
Saudi Candidates Only.
Qualified / Certified Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
10-12+ years progressively responsible post qualification experience, preferably with a big 4 audit firm experience in external/statutory audit function.
5 to 7 years’ experience in similar industry, with a managerial role, managing a sizable team (of over 15+ personnel).
Experience with applicable GAAP (SOCPA and IFRS), and relevant laws, including Companies’ Regulations and Labour Law.
Highest standard of professional ethics, integrity and transparency.
Completion of a relevant bachelor’s/master’s degree at an accredited institute.

Education and Certification Requirements:
· BA qualification.
Job Specific Technical Skills:
· English and Arabic. “Intermediate English level and mother tongue is Arabic”
· WMS.
